Create a Zoom Account

All UD students have access to a free Zoom Pro account while attending the University. Zoom is a video conferencing platform that can be used for taking a course live, attending virtual events around campus, studying with your peers, or even speaking with your instructor during virtual student hours (or office hours).

To log into Zoom you will use your UDelNet ID (beginning part of your UD email address), the password you created, and a 2-factor code. The link to set up an account is located below along with instructions to sign in and use your account. You must always sign in through UD, or you will not be authenticated to join UD class meetings.

Canvas

UD uses Canvas as its Learning Management System (LMS). A LMS can be used by instructors to post assignments, quizzes, student grades, and other course materials. You will see your courses appear in Canvas as your instructor publishes them. Information Technologies at UD  recommends that you download any assignments/materials you may need or want to keep from each of your Canvas courses as a personal backup. Instructors can restrict access to course materials after the course is over and you will not be able to retrieve your information from the course.

You can login to Canvas through the Canvas Gateway page. You will need your UDelNet ID (beginning part of your UD email address), the password you created, and a 2-factor code.

    Office 365 for Education

All students enrolled in UD classes receive free access to Microsoft Office 365 (O365) applications. These applications include: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, OneNote, and Teams. You can access these applications through the online portal or download these applications to your devices (e.g,. your computer, tablet, or smartphone). New students can access these resources starting in late August.

When a student is no longer enrolled in classes, Office 365 applications will stop working on the student’s computer or device, but the files created by the student will remain on the computer or device. UD’s Information Technologies recommends that students download any course-related or personal files from their OneDrive accounts to a location that they can access after they leave UD.
